He is an online education pioneer in the Philippines, presciently guiding his schools, Gardner College and Gates Professional Schools, in this arena even before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. A believer in inclusive holistic and practical education, Boone has forged numerous academic alliances and articulation agreements with colleges and universities across the USA, Asia and Europe. He is also an independent director in Philequity Fund, the country’s top-ranked mutual fund, and holds other directorship positions in companies engaged in real estate, investment management, food manufacturing and publishing.

Big on paying it forward, Boone has granted hundreds of full college scholarships through his schools, and is actively engaged in civic work as a high ranking officer or director in Rotary International and Red Cross, and in sports/youth development as a board member in World Archery Philippines, the archery NSA in the Philippines.

In recognition of his work within and outside his profession, Boone has received various accolades, among them the Philippine Marketing Excellence Award, PFA Franchisee of the Year Award, Mario R. Nery Vocational Excellence Award in Information Technology, and the rare Rotary double of The Outstanding Rotarian of the Year (TORY) and Most Outstanding District Officer awards.

A gifted student, Boone graduated class valedictorian from De La Salle University-Manila with two summa cum laude degrees in Economics and Financial Management, and was the recipient of the Sixto K. Roxas Gold Medal for Excellence in Economics. In between graduation and embarking on the entrepreneurial path, he worked in the laundry and foods categories under the vaunted brand management group of Procter & Gamble Philippines.

Prior to joining Synermaxx full-time, Dex was co-founder of ChatPinoy and consultant to various companies in the manufacturing, hotel, education, technology, healthcare and export industries. He also has had hands-on experience as a systems administrator, web developer and programmer.

Dex holds a B.S. in Computer Science degree from Philippine IT education pioneer AMA University. He presently serves in the adjunct faculty roster of Gardner College and Gates Professional Schools, and previously at Informatics College. He is also a scion of one of the leading industrial plastic injection manufacturers in the Philippines.
